We’ve gone green at Airpark Collision Center of Scottsdale

Recently our body shop in Scottsdale, AZ has gone green. Even though the economy is slow, Airpark Collision Center is committed to moving forward and finding the best ways to serve our community. We are currently using paint products by PPG called Aquabase Plus. This PPG product is Europe’s number one selling waterborne basecoat system. Although the product is more costly, we love it because it is healthy for our environment and safer for our technicians to spray.

Our customers have commented on how well the color matches and like that PPG gives a lifetime warranty. In addition to our water based paint products we also have two machines that control dust in our body shop in Scottsdale, AZ. These machines remove dust, odors, smoke, voc’s, mists, spray powder, toxic fumes, pollen and bacteria.
Our body shop in Scottsdale, AZ continues to look for other ways to improve, we feel that making these improvements not only helps the environment but ensures that we retain highly skilled employees to serve our customers properly.

Collision Repair Scottsdale and Allstate Drivewise
The collision repair Scottsdale professionals that you trust most have always been right around the corner when needed. Now, collision repair Scottsdale service that’s fast, friendly and conscientious is now at the touch of a finger.
Allstate Drivewise – prolific auto insurance provider Allstate’s usage-based insurance (UBI) tool that digitally tracks policyholders’ habits behind the wheel – has expanded its service to more states across America, more collision repair Scottsdale shops nationwide, and now into the hands of smartphone users.
With the addition of Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Utah and Washington, 16 states’ drivers are now covered by Drivewise. Allstate’s UBI product employs a telematics device that monitors drivers’ habits via their vehicles’ respective diagnostic ports. Allstate can then scrutinize the portraits of driving habits they gain and parlay glowing records into policy discounts.
On average, Allstate claims, the average Drivewise policyholder since the program’s 2010 rollout parlays that monitoring into 14-percent savings on average – up to 30 percent, in some states – just for driving safely and keeping their wheels out of the hands of mechanics and collision repair Scottsdale technicians, along with the 10-percent initial discount for new users.
Total, Drivewise now covers drivers in:
· Arizona
· Colorado
· Florida
· Illinois
· Indiana
· Maryland
· Michigan
· Minnesota
· New Jersey
· New York
· Ohio
· Oregon
· Pennsylvania
· Utah
· Washington
But that’s not all.
Drivewise now also enjoys smartphone integration through a newly introduced, free-of-charge application.
Drivewise App users will user their user IDs and passwords to set up their accounts online. Once fully registered, they can then download and register the app via either iTunes or Google Play stores. Allstate representatives promise that the new feature will permit checks of Drivewise data and policy information in “near real-time.”
Think of it as being like the Santa Claus of auto insurance. It might not know when you’re sleeping or when you’re awake. However, it knows when you’ve been speeding and it has a pretty good idea when you’ve been in a wreck that’s landed your car laid-up with a collision repair Scottsdale technician.
So take our advice: the longer you steer clear of collision repair Scottsdale visits, the more filled your pockets may become. So give the new program a chance, and embrace Allstate Drivewise looking over your shoulder.
Collision Repair Claims in Scottsdale
OK, we’ll admit it first: your friendly neighborhood collision repair Scottsdale specialists never really experience the Winter Blues.
Hey, we’re all Phoenecians here, so let’s be honest: while other body shops across the nation scramble at restoring and repairing vehicle after vehicle that skids across ice and delivers a hip-check that would make a Phoenix Coyotes defenseman applaud, the collision repair Scottsdale experts you know and love just keep satisfying customers who are as satisfied by our work in January as they would be in July.
We’d lend our luck to America’s insurance professionals, that the luck of a collision repair Scottsdale pro could rub off. Reports suggest, per J.D. Power and Associates, that auto insurance policyholders register less satisfaction with claims service throughout the winter months. The latest reports actually indicate a dip that J.D. Power chalks up to a general holiday tension not necessarily having to do with claims service being any better or worse, but just a general unpleasant mood. The findings are based on roughly 2,800 auto claimants responses collected between November and December 2012.
An average $30 jump in out-of-pocket expense increases – sure, some probably paid to body shops across the country not unlike our own collision repair Scottsdale garage – could very well exacerbate already simmering stressors.
Of course, we understand. Collision repair Scottsdale shops in snowier climes experience a “clumping” of business when winter weather causes accidents, since so many drivers put off seeking out estimates to repair damages. As opposed to a previous study’s reported average waiting period of 2.9 days to retrieve a repair estimate, the average wait through the winter months nationwide jumps to 3.3 days.
Collision repair Scottsdale shops can sometimes turn around jobs faster if they’re situated within major insurance carriers’ networks. Closer relationships with collision repair Scottsdale businesses mean that major carriers’ claimants get their cars back on the road an average of 1.3 days faster from carrier-affiliated collision repair Scottsdale shops, J.D. Power reports.
Of course, keep one thing in mind: even your collision repair Scottsdale friends want you in our shop as little as possible. The less we see you, the safer we know you’re driving…

Body Shop Scottsdale Spring Break and Your Car Maintenence
Your trusted neighborhood body shop Scottsdale hopes that every local student enjoys a fun, relaxed spring break. Though we’re like any other auto repair facility in the sense that we feed our families fixing cars up when something goes wrong, we’d rather every student in the Phoenix area return from vacation safely without a scratch.
Few know auto safety quite like a body shop Scottsdale technician. Take our advice and thoroughly run down this checklist before hitting the road to your fun-in-the-sun destination.
Good news: almost any car owner can double-check many items seen here, without a mechanic’s guidanace or a visit to a body shop Scottsdale such as ours.
· CHECK ALL FLUIDS: Any car-care professional, from a shade-tree mechanic to a virtuoso in pulling out dings at a body shop Scottsdale such as ours, could tell you the ways a car resembles a living thing. If the outside is like a skin, then be mindful too of the precious fluids that need to course through its parts. Top off oil, transmission fluid, coolant and windshield-wiper fluid as need, while noting any leaks you might find. If something leaks, contact us, your body shop Scottsdale for a more expert once-over.
· LIGHTS: Check every light and signal before departing. Safety concerns aside, this also makes sure that you won’t be unexpectedly pulled over because you missed a dud bulb. If your turn signal, headlights or brake lights don’t function as they should, remedying the trouble could be as simple as dropping by a mechanic, body shop Scottsdale or auto parts retailer to get the correct bulb, and maybe even a little installation assistance. If neither your old bulb nor your new one lights up, seek out your local shop. It might be something a bit more complex that a trained mechanic or body shop Scottsdale technician can diagnose and remedy more quickly than a DIY fix.
· TIRE INFLATION/TREAD: In the unlikely event your car’s owner’s manual doesn’t indicate your vehicle’s ideal tire PSI, the tires themselves should indicate somewhere right on the rubber how much pressure it needs. As with the previous items, you don’t need a body shop Scottsdale to tell you when you’ve exhausted your tread, either. The penny test will do fine: the tread should cover at least part of Honest Abe’s head. If it doesn’t, then talk with your body shop Scottsdale about some replacements before you embark. This isn’t just a safety issue, either; Properly inflated tires with plenty tread remaining can keep your gas mileage more efficient over time.
· PLAN FOR THE WORST: How does the old saying go? “Life is what happens when you’re making plans.” As said before, as thoroughly as anybody could plan, there’s still that possibility Murphy’s Law will sentence you to an unexpected body shop Scottsdale or service center stay for your vehicle’s emergency care. Have a plan. Keep AAA and other roadside-assistance contact numbers where you’ll find them easily in a pinch. Know exactly what emergency-assistance services your insurance policy provides, too. In particular, ascertain whether your insurance policy provides free or reimbursed towing. Along the way, have a good idea not just where you can find your nearest mechanic at Airpark Collision Center body shop Scottsdale, but parts retailers such as O’Reilly Auto Parts or a NAPA Auto Care Center.
Drive safely out there. Remember, a body shop Scottsdale may stay afloat because every vehicle needs a little occasional TLC, but we’ll take a slow business day if it means you always reach your destination safely.
Body Shop Scottsdale Spring Car Care Tips
Well, believe it or not, we are less than a month away from the vernal equinox, aka the beginning of Spring! It may be time to check some things over on your vehicle. As your premier body shop Scottsdale, we want you to be traveling in the safest manner possible. According to the consumer reports, there are a few tips you can use that may help you steer clear of any potential problems.
1) Some drivers actually don’t remove or delay in removing their winter tires. As winter tires offer exceptional traction on snow and ice, they sometimes compromise stopping ability on wet and dry roads, will not handle near as well as all-weather tires, and wear out faster than other tires. If your winter tires are located on specific wheels, make sure to clean the tires and wheels completely to remove winter salt deposits that can create wheel corrosion and store them in a cool, dry place.
2) Pot holes that develop during winter can be extra harsh on your vehicle’s suspension system. No matter if you had winter tires or all-season type tires on your car or truck, check them for even wear across the tread of the tire. If you do in fact find uneven wear, you may need a wheel alignment and/or new tires to prevent problems. Come in and see us at your body shop Scottsdale for help with this isssue.
3) With Spring coming and Summer on the horizon, it is good to get tires that resist hydroplaning in heavy rain and on slippery roadways. Sometimes it is good to use the quarter-test to determine the tread you have left on your tires. When you are down to an 1/8 inch or less it is time to replace your tires. We can check your tires at your body shop Scottsdale to determine the tread you have left available.

Scottsdale Body Shop Likes These Apps
With the new age of smartphones, we have several awesome tools at our fingertips. Like you have heard before, there’s an app for that. For the most part, there really is an app for just about everything. You can download them from your smartphone’s app store, some for free, and others for a small fee. Your Scottsdale body shop would like you to know about a few apps that are available that can help you save some money, among other things. How cool is it that there is an app that will show you where speed traps and red light cameras are? Your Scottsdale body shop, Airpark Collision Center knows that these apps can help you in your everyday driving.
We have located a couple apps that can tremendously help when it comes to your car or truck. Do a quick search on your smartphone in your app store to read about more details and features they provide.
Scottsdale body shop likes these smartphone apps for drivers:
iGasUp ($0.99): It displays the 10 nearest fuel stations and their prices
![]()
Trapster (Free) The app lets users pinpoint where speed cameras, red-light cameras, and live speed traps are and rates the validity by multiple user confirmations. The traps are displayed by icons on a map on most smartphones.

Scottsdale Body Shop Deductibles and Premiums
Scottsdale Body Shop Deductibles and Premiums
Sometimes the lower price seems great, right? Not in every case, though – especially when it comes to insurance. Have you ever noticed that when you are shopping for insurance quotes, the plans with lower monthly rates have a higher deductible? The insurance companies actually use mathematical algorithms to determine profitability when it comes to how much they should charge for insurance to policy holders. This ensures that they don’t lose money in the long haul. If you were ever at a Scottsdale body shop after an accident, you may have wondered why your insurance deductible was so high.
Higher insurance deductibles are often featured in policies with lower premiums. This allows insurance providers to remain profitable and stay in business, but also presents consumers with a choice. Paying higher premiums on a regular basis will likely mean less of a financial burden if an accident occurs, whereas a higher deductible will mean less money regularly spent to maintain a policy. As your choice Scottsdale body shop, we would like you to be aware of this.
This means that if someone were to avoid car accidents and collisions completely, the high-deductible policy would be ideal, because premiums are lower. Since accidents are by definition not entirely under the driver’s control, however, assuming that they will not occur may be unwise. Take it from us, your Scottsdale body shop – a higher deductible may not always be the right answer.
Scottsdale Body Shop Windshield Claim Info
As your premier Scottsdale body shop, we would like to share some important info about windshields.
Windshield damage is a very popular occurrence when operating a vehicle. Don’t forget that your windshield is a structural element in your car or truck. Having a cracked or otherwise broken windshield can diminish the integrity of your vehicle’s structure. Automotive
designers plan the windshield as part of the rollover safety features which are meant to keep you inside the car during a collision. Most people aren’t even aware that airbags actually are designed to work most properly with the windshield in place.
Living in Arizona, we see our fair share of rocks flying up at our windshield. The first thing you hear is that “whack” that send chills up your spine. Is it going to crack? Or just a chip this time? The good news is, most insurance companies cover this type of problem included in your full coverage plan. Airpark Collision Center, your Scottsdale body shop, can help you when it comes to these issues.
Should I File a Windshield Claim?
The good news is most car insurance companies do not surcharge for glass claims because they are considered unavoidable comprehensive claims. Therefore, most car insurers will not raise your renewal rates even if you have filed a claim for glass repairs. If you need your glass repaired or replaced, or have any other auto body need please set an appointment with Airpark Collision Center – your Scottsdale body shop.
Your Scottsdale Body Shop Customer Experience
The “Customer Experience” is a highly overlooked element when it comes to choosing businesses to work with. When it comes to choosing a Scottsdale body shop, you should think about how you will be treated from the moment you make that first phone call or appointment. As a customer, you have the right to be treated with respect and courtesy at all times. When you choose Airpark Collision Center to be your Scottsdale body shop, you will be treated extremely well.
Airpark Collision Center focuses on the “CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.”

Scottsdale Body Shop Halloween Tips
Halloween is a very fun time for your family to dress up and enjoy parties and what we all look forward to at Halloween – candy. Your premier Scottsdale body shop – Airpark Collision Center, would like you to be as safe as possible.
Here are some tips to keep in mind to ensure your night goes well.
1. Try to have a route planned ahead of time.
Since trick-or-treating can have you several streets from your house, mapping out a route of your neighborhood is a great idea. Try and stay on paths that you and your child are comfortable with to avoid getting lost.
2. Remember the comfortable shoes.
If you are planning a long route, make sure children are in comfortable, well-fitting footwear. Stay away from heels if you are a girl with a dress, and avoid tripping in the dark by double tying your shoelaces.
3. Keep well-lit.
You want your children to be seen by drivers on the road, so reflective tape is a great option. Also, keep a flashlight with you to help your child’s path stay lit at all times.
4. Try to watch your costume’s length.
Lengthy costumes that drag on the ground can be hazardous, more-so at night. After buying your child’s costume, make sure it’s an appropriate length, and hem anything that’s too long to avoid tripping.
5. Try to stay away from using masks.
Seeing and breathing can be difficult in a mask for your child. If at all possible, skip the mask altogether and use non-toxic make-up to complete the costume instead.
Also, here are some tips for keeping your car or truck looking not so “scary”, too!

Choose a quality body shop in Scottsdale.
When it comes to getting your vehicle serviced, remember this – you have a choice where it is repaired. Between all of the hustle and bustle in our daily lives, some of these important decisions are overlooked. But where you take your vehicle for service is a very important decision nonetheless. Your safety, and better yet, your family’s safety, depends on those who service and repair your vehicles. We would like you to look outside of the “big box” and consider choosing Airpark Collision Center of North Scottsdale for all of your automotive needs.
Currently we live in a world of big box stores, where mass customers are served, customer service is poor, and quality is often disappointing. A similar thing is happening in the Auto Body and Repair industry. Large companies and corporations (some who have never been in the auto repair industry), now own multiple shops, and are concerned with making as much money in a short amount of time without regard to customer service or quality of repair. Airpark Collision Center, is a privately owned body shop in Scottsdale and operated by people who live in Scottsdale and the surrounding area. We care about our customers and the facility’s reputation. Airpark Collision Center, would like to remind consumers that you have a choice of where your vehicle gets repaired. After all it is your vehicle.

Scottsdale Body Shop Discusses Shelby Exhibit
The Scottsdale International Auto Museum exhibits some rare moments in Shelby’s distinguished book of American custom automotive history. Any of the 10 rare, custom vehicles on display would make a body shop Scottsdale pro from Scottsdale to Detroit shed a tear.
The Scottsdale institution’s collection of 2007-2011 Ford Shelby vehicles with distinctive body-shop personalization carries, to the car, the personal seals of approval of Shelby’s Bob Bondurant and Carroll Shelby themselves. The Shelby style has been the canvas on which body shop artists have painted their own personal works of art, and several have had the honor of being co-fashioned and even driven by Shelby and Bondurant.
Take the 2007 Ford Shelby GT raced Shelby’s 85th and 86th birthdays, for example. Bondurant himself drove it on his person track, but the one-of-a-kind Ford bears six Carroll Shelby signatures and special event badging. Likewise, the 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 convertible’s black-with-red-stripe paint job is the work of Shelby himself.
Race-ready and street-legal, the 2007 Ford Mustang GT/SC would be reason alone to make the sojourn to Scottsdale. Registered through multiple Shelby registries and carrying six certified signatures, it’s a top-to-bottom Carroll Shelby original. It’s packing fully loaded racing rims, tires and brakes, along with a Hertz hood, sequential tail lights, limited plates and manufacturer spoiler.
The 2011 Ford Mustang Daytona 500 might be the most well-traveled Ford in all of Scottsdale. It’s the official, Shelby-registered 52nd Annual Daytona 500 pace car, certified #38 of 50 produced. It’s signed by NASCAR star Carl Edwards, as well as Bondurant and fellow racing legend Jack Roush – the only individual car in the series with all three signatures. This car won a Nov. 13, 2010, Nationwide Series and Nov. 14, 2010 Sprint Cup Series race.
Some have been anointed by Shelby himself to be as distinctive as advertised. Some have been designed by Shelby personally. All carry the Shelby brand’s seal of approval, and all leave the Ford Shelby distinctive mark of American muscle for every body shop in Scottsdale or any other place where horsepower is king.

Due to the valley’s extreme heat there are great reasons to tint your vehicle’s windows. Not only can it reduce the temperature in your car, but window tint could also keep you from getting in an accident. Listed below are 5 Reasons to Tint Your car/truck or SUV.
- Avoid Overheating: Your car’s interior can be 60% cooler during those hot summer days with proper tinting.
- Protect your Skin: Harmful UV rays from the sun can cause skin cancer. Tinting your car can block 99% of these damaging rays.
- Accident Protection: In an auto accident, tinting can help shattered glass hold together, protecting the occupants of the car.
- Safer Driving: Tinting reduces dangerous glare from the sun, snow, and other headlights, helping you drive safely.
